THE BIG WEEKEND

Friday 17th March – Sunday 19th March

We have enjoyed a warm and cosy February and were pleased to welcome Eleonora Kouneni for our Sunday live Jazz. She will be back on the first Sunday in April.

However, whilst there is still a little bit of cold in the air just now, Spring is about explode with the Big Weekend, beginning with St. Patricks Day on the 17th of March, followed by Super Saturday at the Six Nations, and Mothering Sunday.

ST PATRICKS DAY

Friday 17th March

We have ordered plenty of Guinness to celebrate St. Patricks day on Friday the 17th of March, where we will also be serving Beef and Guinness Pie topped with Mashed Potato, served with a lovingly poured pint of draught Guinness for £19.50.

SIX NATIONS FINAL

Saturday 18th March

We will be showing all three games on our screens both upstairs and in the garden for the title deciding end to the Six Nations. With England playing Ireland in Dublin on Saturday, the Guinness and Beef Pie will continue to be available.

MOTHER’S DAY

Sunday 19th March

With a bar full of Daffodils – we look forward to welcoming all our fabulous Mums to celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday the 19th of March. We are already fully booked between 12 and 3pm but we will be keeping the kitchen open a little longer on this Sunday and still have tables available after 4pm. We will be further improving our Sunday Roasts by serving Spring Lamb from Daphne in Wales, who will also be supplying us with Denbighshire Top Rump for the Roast Beef, served with the usual accompaniments.

BOAT RACE

Sunday 26th March

Whilst not quite on the river, come get the best view by enjoying the Boat Race on our big screen in our private room and also in the garden.

We’ll be serving full Sunday Lunch all afternoon and it will be a boat-load of fun.

Following the success of Eleonora Kouneni’s first show last week which was beautifully supported by Matty Barclay – our next live performance will be the Sunday the 2nd of April. These nights are becoming a special part of The Crossing’s story, and we’ll continue to offer these free of charge to our local and loyal customers.
